Shirayama Hime Jinja Shrine

Shirayama Hime Jinja Shrine in Ishikawa-gun, Fukushima Prefecture, has a long history, believed to be built sometime around the year 1150. The shrine is located in the mountains near the side of Aoba-jo Castle, and it is surrounded by greenery. In spring, the area is filled with blooming cherry blossoms and azaleas, and it is popularly known as an ideal place to take a hike and enjoy the natural scenery. The shrine also hosts a festival on the first Saturday and Sunday of October each year.
