Yakuoji Temple

Yakuoji Temple is located in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. It is a historical temple that was built during the Daido era (806~810), but it was destroyed by fire during the Boshin War. The main temple building was later reconstructed, which is what can be seen today. Many Important Cultural Properties are stored inside the building, including Buddhist wooden sculptures, paintings, and handcrafts.
