Yamamoto Fudoson Temple is a Buddhist temple in Fukushima Prefecture that is over 1,000 years old. It is located in Okukuji Prefectural Natural Park, which is well known throughout the prefecture for its beautiful autumn foliage. To reach the temple, visitors will take a walk along quiet paths through a forest of 100-year-old cedar trees, followed by a climb up a set of stone steps. On the temple grounds is an impressive cave, which is where the deity enshrined at this temple is worshipped. The best time to see the autumn foliage around the temple is late October to early November, but the area is also known for its rhododendrons, azaleas, and cherry blossoms that bloom in spring.
