Kanotsunodaira Observatory

Kanotsunodaira Observatory is located on a hill with an elevation of around 700 meters in Samegawa-mura, Fukushima Prefecture. It is an ideal place for stargazing, as there is little influence from artificial light and the view from the hill spreads out in 360 degrees. There are two telescopes with different specifications inside the facility, and there is also an observation deck set up outside. With advance reservations or on days when the observatory is open to the public, visitors can receive guidance from instructors about astronomical observation.
